Each regular battalion has a Unit Families Office (UFO) which is an integral part of the unit. Its prime function is to support and offer advice to soldiers both married and single and their dependants. We offer a confidential service 24hrs a day, 365 days a year. We deal with the everyday problems that arise in most households such as housing matters, schooling registrations, separation problems whilst the soldier is away, financial difficulties and sadly marital problems.

Each member of the Unit Families Office has completed a training course at Bristol University and would be expected to work in this field for 2 - 3 years. My team consists of myself (Captain), 2 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCO's), a Junior Non-Commissioned Officer (JNCO) and a civilian clerk. It is a busy but rewarding job working with the military community and other agencies.
