The locations of these AFIO's are in Kingston Upon Hull, York, Leeds and Bradford. We also have a Regimental Information Team (RIT) based in Strensall. Sgt Rue Towers. Was born in Fordingbridge, Hampshire in 1970. He left Woldgate school, York at the age of 16, after working as a tiler & plaster for a year he enlisted in to the army on 25th May 1987. He has served in England, N. Ireland, Germany, Canada, Bosnia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kenya, Cyprus & Poland to name but a few places. Rue Towers was married to his wife Tracey on 1994, he has twin boys aged 4 years. He enjoys Formula 1 racing, Karate, Course fishing & spending time with his family.
CSgt Gorden French. Was born in 1957, he enlisted into the army at AFCO in Hull on 7th October 1976 after completing training he joined PWO whilst they were in Celle, Germany in April 1976. CSgt Gorden French has seen service in Germany, Canada, Northern Ireland, Norway, Cyprus, Denmark, Belgium, USA and Bosnia. CSgt Gorden French has served 22 years with the regiment and is currently on an extended engagement as the office manager. He is married and has 2 children. His hobbies include, Ju-jitsu, Weight training, Mountain biking, Squash, Fishing, Gardening, DIY and spending time with his family.

CSgt Phil Quantock. Was born in Kingston Upon Hull in 1963. He enlisted into the army as a junior soldier in 1979, on leaving the training depot as best recruit to join the regiment in Bulford in 1980. CSgt Phil Quantock has seen service in Norway, Denmark, Germany, The Arctic Circle, Berlin, N. Ireland, Canada, USA, Hong Kong, Bruni, Dubi, Bosnia and Kenya, taking the opportunity to climb Mount Kenya. He is married to Angela. His hobbies include, Gardening, Golf, Football (Supports Middlesbrough and always has a current session ticket), socialising, all types of adventure training and spending time with his wife. CSgt Phil Quantock also has a brother, Sgt John Quantock serving with the regiment. (See AFCO Bradford)

Sgt Mike Wyrill. Was born in Malton, North Yorkshire in 1969 he enlisted into the army at York AFCO in 1986. After completing training at the Queen Elizabeth, Barracks in Strensall in 1987, he joined the regiment in Ballykinler, N. Ireland. Sgt Mike Wyrill has seen service in N. Ireland, Germany, Bosnia, Kenya, Canada and the USA. Sgt Mike Wyrill in a keen sportsman and has played hockey & cricket for the regiment. He is married to Lisa and has two children. His hobbies include all forms of adventure training and spending time with his family. Whilst serving with the Army Youth Team, he was awarded the GOC (NE) Commendation for assisting in a rescue of a climber who was severely injured at Gordale Scar.
Sgt Eric Kemp. Was born in 1967 in Aldershot, Hampshire. He went to Woldgate school, Pocklington, he left at the age of 16 years and enlisted into the army in 1984 as a junior soldier. He joined PWO whilst they were in Ballykinler, N. Ireland in 1986. Sgt Eric Kemp has seen service in Germany, Canada, Northern Ireland, USA and Bosnia. He was married to Helen in 1999. He enjoys the scootering scene in-particular Lambretta's and Vespa's.

Sgt Mick Blinkhorn. Was born in Doncaster in 1966, he enlisted into the army in 1983 and joined the regiment in 1984 whilst they were stationed in Berlin. Sgt Mick Blinkhorn has seen service in N. Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Berlin, Germany, Canada, Kenya and USA. He is married to Tracey and has 3 children. His hobbies include golf, cricket, football, weight lifting and spending time with his family. Sgt Mick Blinkhorn has recently taken up a position in the Armed Forces Careers Office.

Sgt John Quantock. Was born in Kingston Upon Hull in 1966 and like his brother CSgt Phil Quantock (See Regiment Recruiting Team) was educated at Riley High school. He enlisted into the army as a junior leader at AFCO Hull in 1982. He joined the regiment in 1983 in Bulford. Sgt John Quantock has seen service Berlin, N. Ireland, Canada, USA, Bosnia, Saudi Arabia, Irag (The Gulf war) and Kenya. He has been married to Carol for 15 years and his two sons. His hobbies include fishing and has fished for the army, football and has played for the regiment for 15 years, Darts and has represented the County of Wiltshire, Socialising, All types of adventure training, Golf and spending time with his family. Unlike his brother Sgt John Quantock supports Manchester United. He is due to leave AFCO Bradford in December this year.
